Partner organisations and individual experts facilitate activities that include online or face-to-face workshops, information sessions or seminars on developmental services which deal with the following topics:

  • Types of families

  • Parenting skills

  • Conflict management

  • Communication skills

  • Household budgeting

  • Personal finances

  • Healthy living

  • Substance abuse

  • Mental health

The activities are led by external skilled facilitators or family leaders who are provided with content and governance training and associated materials to facilitate the sessions. Where possible families themselves self-facilitate and self manage content.

The CFS platform provides information for follow-on support  services.

 

Family empowerment is an important prevention tool and lays the foundation for a strengthened family.  

 

Support services can include one-on-one interactions or group sessions with skilled and qualified professionals who serve as service providers or associates of the Centre for Family Studies (CFS). 

 

Services might include:

  • Counselling

  • Therapy

  • Advice

  • Mediation

  • Arbitration
